A big computerised library containing more than twenty three thousand books including textbooks, reference books, etc. is situated within the campus.
Students may consult reference books and take notes in the reading room attached to the library, before they can borrow relevant books.
Library remains open on all working day (and on Sundays).
Since the importance of a will-stocked, highly systematised library can not be over-emphasised, our institution has gone for a complete overhauling of the existing library facilities so that its scopes can be broadened to meet up the changing and newly risen demands of the student community.
For example, a well-furnished reading room is being presently made as an integral part of our library, and just to encourage the enthusiastic learner arrangements are made so that this reading room remains open even during holidays. In addition, there is altogether new study corner with a whole lot of newly arrived magazines and daily newspapers to cater to the students' daily need of fresh information.
To make things easier, one can access this facility without a 'lending card'. Open access system has been introduced so that the honours studants can get in touch with the books directly.
Still more, we have carved out a small counselling corner within the library corridor for purely academic purposes. The students can come here to meet the concerned teacher for timely advices. This will further help facilitate the interpersonal bond between the teacher and his/her student.
Again, the college remains much committed to the large community of its ex and outgoing students who can avail the reading room facility obtaining special permission form the Principal and they will have to pay the requisite fee in that case.
The last but not the least, the more techno-savvy student having knowledge in computers can now borrow relevant CDs from the library shelves that already include a large array of such discs pertaining to different branches of human knowledge. However, honest efforts are made to address the needs of those students who are good at study but economically depressed. Such students can borrow their necessary books from the library book banki on a once-in-a-year basis.
